Grace Influential Positive Impact Award

Grace Influential is a global initiative led by the Princess Grace Foundation which celebrates and upholds the charitable legacy of Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco. The Foundation is recognized for its prestigious awards program celebrating excellence and positive change. 

 
The purpose of the Grace Influential Positive Impact Award is to recognize each F1® teams’ commitment and contribution to positive impact, to society and/or to the environment and help them to amplify these efforts widely. 

Why Apply

The benefits of applying for a Grace Influential Positive Impact Award are far-reaching and include increased visibility and amplification of your positive impact initiatives, access to a new generation of fans, and broader recognition of the hard work and investments you are making in having a positive impact on the sport and the world.

Application Process

Teams may submit an application that describes a positive impact initiative or initiatives that took place during the 2022-2023 F1® season.

All applications should include the following documents in the following format:

  • A short video explaining the initiative (maximum duration 2 minutes);

  • Any available collateral or public press related to the initiative;

  • High resolutions photos;

  • A signed waiver allowing Grace Influential to use and publish these documents in the format given.
     

All application materials need to be formatted for publishing as Grace Influential will be promoting and amplifying each team’s initiative leading up to the Award Ceremony.

Application Criteria

Application criteria have been developed to evaluate each sustainability initiative, independent of their size, scalability, and duration.

Teams will be evaluated on their specific sustainability initiatives as well as on the evidence and measurement of the general positive impact.

Each team's initiative must address at least one of the following key positive impact pillars:

 

Environmental Sustainability

The responsibility to conserve natural resources and protect global ecosystems to support health and wellbeing, now and in the future

 

And/or

 

Social Sustainability

The responsibility of identifying, managing and proactively engaging business impacts on people, employees, workers in the value chain, customers, local communities, and fans. Specifically:

  • Community & Inclusion (Diversity)

  • Education and mentorship

Evaluation Criteria

An illustrative list of evaluation criteria is provided below.

 

Evaluation Metrics:

  • Planning (including setting measurable outcomes)

  • Innovation / Creativity

  • Value created for stakeholders

  • Impact on the SDGs goals

  • Reach and visibility

  • Direct engagement of the racing team in the design and execution of the project

  • Composition of the design and execution team

  • Profile and quality of partners involved on the design and execution

  • Alignment and/or strategic link with F1 Sustainability Strategy

 

General Positive Impact Metrics (not project Specific)

  • Link to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

  • Touch of Grace – Philanthropic spirit and uniqueness

  • Quality of submission assets

  • Impact beyond the motorsport community

Adjudication

The Grace Influential Award Winner will be selected by a panel comprised of a diverse and global consortium of sustainability leaders, motorsport luminaries, celebrities active in positive impact, and selected youth judges.

Amplification

Leading up to the annual Awards Ceremony at the Monaco Grand Prix, Grace Influential will undertake a multi-week and multi-platform amplification endeavor to showcase each team’s initiative. Details will follow but include:
 

  • Elevated positive editorial content syndicated by our media partners

  • Extensive social media activations

  • Special events
