Grace Influential Positive Impact Award

Grace Influential is a global initiative led by the Princess Grace Foundation which celebrates and upholds the charitable legacy of Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco. The Foundation is recognized for its prestigious awards program celebrating excellence and positive change. The purpose of the Grace Influential Positive Impact Award is to recognize each Formula 1® team’s commitment and contribution to positive impact, on society and/or to the environment and help them to amplify these efforts widely.

Accelerate 25: Mercedes

Launched in December 2020, Accelerate 25 formalizes our ambition to become a more diverse and inclusive team, creating opportunities in Formula One for all. We have pledged to continuously raise our standards of entry, with an ambition of at least 25% of new team members coming from under-represented groups by 2025. We understand that an inclusive culture where everyone can be the best version of themselves drives performance and creativity, leading ultimately to on-track performance. Over the last two years, the percentage of our female team members has risen from 12% to 16% with employees from a minority ethnic background growing from 3% to 9%. Aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals 4, 5 and 10, inspiring and motivating talented students from under-represented groups towards STEM careers is one of the key pillars of Accelerate 25, with the hope that they aspire to join our team in the future. We are proud to partner with the Mulberry Schools Trust, the Stemettes, the Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers, the Sutton Trust and the Business Disability Forum, all of whom are supporting our journey. Through Accelerate 25, we are leading the drive for a more sustainable future.
