While all eyes might be on the incredible dress and the glittering tiara during a royal wedding, there's often one detail we overlook, the bride's wedding shoes of choice.
Princess Grace of Monaco
When Grace Kelly married Prince Rainier III in 1956, she turned to David Evins, one of America’s top footwear designers at the time, to create a pair of custom-made pumps. The shoes featured rounded toes and 2½ inch heels, with lace motifs and a rosette on the top embellished with seed pearls and clear glass beads. And for good luck, a copper penny was encased in the right shoe.
